Legendary hair artist Bertrand W. began fulfilling his destiny at the early age of 16: living in Paris, working with famed hair designer Jean-Marc Maniatis, and styling runway shows in Europe and New York for designers including Karl Lagerfeld, Hermes, Ralph Lauren, Helmut Lang, Chloe and Sonia Rykiel. He branched out on his own and began sharing his time and talent between Paris and Montreal. Soon his work was showing in major fashion editorials such as Elle, Numero, American Russian Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar all while he continued working as art director for a major salon in Montreal. In 1998, he brought his talent to Los Angeles, bringing with him a collective that included work with the likes of French photographer Patrick Demachelier as well as with world image-makers Paul Jasmin, Serge Barbeau, Peter Gerke and Matthias Vriens. Naturally, his name and reputation spread, adding such diverse celebrities as Carole Bouquet, Joy Bryant, Michelle Yeoh, Emmanuelle Seigner, Snoop Dogg, Camilla Belle and superstar muppet, Miss Piggy to his international client list. Currently, he is expanding his understanding of dimensions and proportions. Launched as Aime by W, his line of luxury leather accessories will premier in 2012 in select cities across North America and Europe.
